- Purvis was the first building built on campus in 1917
- Originally the main floor had a judging pavilion which included a ring for livestock judging instruction and shows
- It eventually held the Royal, which started in 1927
- The second at first floor served as the campus gymnasium
- As of 1977 it became the campus library
- With a full-time Library Associate, reference material are constantly kept up-to-date through a variety of e-resources, books, videos, and internet access
- The first floor is sometimes used as a classroom, but more often is rented out to groups using our Conferencing facilities
The following offices are located in Purvis Hall:
- Library - 2nd Floor
- Textbook Sales & Services - 2nd Floor in the Library
- Tutoring Offices - 2nd Floor in the Library
- Meeting/Conference Room - 1st Floor
