General Information About Lockers, ID Cards, etc.
ID Card:
Every student is issued a Student Photo ID Card upon registration at the Kemptville Campus. The ID card is needed for access to Pubs, Cafeteria and other sponsored events and can be used at various businesses in Kemptville where student discounts are offered. If the student card is lost, or destroyed there is a $20.00 replacement charge payable at the Admissions Office. Replacement cards are obtained from the IT Services Office.

Lockers:
Lockers are available in the W.B. George Centre for a rental fee of $10.00. See the Residence Supervisor to register for a locker.
Mail:
Every student has a student mailbox, whether you live in residence or not. Notify family and friends where to send your mail while you are at the Kemptville Campus. Mailboxes are in Bell Hall. Return your mail key to Residence Staff on completion of term.
E-mail and Internet:
All students have an E-mail address and internet access in the computer labs in Parish Building. All students will be informed of their rights and responsibilities as users of the internet. All students are required to use their own log-in account assigned at start of semester.
Messages for Students:
Messages for students will be posted on bulletin boards in Bell Hall, Rorke Hall, A.M. Barr Arena, Administration, and Power and Equipment Centre, dependant on the student's program. Students will also receive messages in student mail box system or E-Mail. Urgent messages received during classtime will be delivered by a staff member to your classroom.
Insurance:
Students actively engaged in class work are covered by a Group Insurance Plan. This is not Health Insurance.
A student's insurance terminates at the end of the month of the semester for which the student was registered or terminates on the student's date of withdrawal from studies
Smoke Free Environment:
Smoking is not permitted in in any Campus buildings with the exception of designated areas.
Jobs on Campus for Students:
Employment is available during the semester in the Computer Lab, Library and Cafeteria. Upon arrival at the Campus during the first week, go to these areas for an application for employment.
Career Planning and Placement Services:
The Campus works with business and industry to assist students in finding jobs. Program Coordinators publicize available job openings; and inform students when potential employers are on campus; and act as a liaison between your academic department and potential employers. Residence / Recreation Supervisor:
As many students find after being at Campus for a short period of time the Residence Supervisor's presence can be very helpful and reassuring. The Residence Supervisor will listen and discuss the students problems with them. Although the supervisor may not be able to offer solutions, she will most certainly offer support. If you have a problem that they are unable to deal with then they will try to find someone who can aid you.
Special Needs:
Kemptville Campus has limited resources for students with disabilities. We need your cooperation in providing for your requirements. Students are encouraged to schedule a meeting with their program coordinator to discuss your psycho-educational assessment. Also, contact the student counsellor, Room 204 - Parish Building, for student learning needs accommodations.
Agriculture Information Contact Centre (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAFRA):

OMAFRA specialists bring these resources to you through publications, factsheets and newsletters. You can easily access these valuable resources 24 hours a day at home by visiting OMAFRA's web site at www.gov.on.ca/OMAF or you can drop by the on-campus OMAFRA Resource Centre located on Ministry Road. For more information on products and publications, pick up your copy of "Pick of the Crop".
T.R. Leger School:
T.R. Leger School on campus provides upgrading, instruction in learning, studying, communication and mathematic skills.
Financial Assistance:
OSAP -All Diploma and Certificate programs are approved for the Ontario Student Assistance Program. OSAP Application forms are available in the Admission Office.
Student Loan Fund:
From time to time students may find themselves in a financial bind. The Campus has a student loan fund. Contact Bre Wick, Administration Office for an application form.
The following outlines the lending criteria:
- All loans are for one semester only
- Maximum amount is $300.
- Applicants must be "a student in good standing"
- Loan must be for Campus-related expenses.
Weight Rooms:
All students pay an athletic fee which entitles you to a membership for use of the weight rooms and gym facilities in the W.B. George Centre. Weight rooms are open from Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm and during specified hours on weekends.
