Jobs @ the Kemptville Campus Library

Library Assistants:
Part-time jobs are available in the library. Library Assistants cover evenings, lunches and weekend hours. Successful candidates can expect to work a minimum of 5 hours/week. If you're interested in earning some extra money and improve your research and study skills as well, come see Debra in the library to apply. Please bring a resume. Debra will notify you of application cut-off dates, interview schedules, etc. through your campus e-mail account. To be safe, come and see her the first week of the semester to apply.

  • Note: Students who are working as a Library Assistant as well as a Tutor can combine their tutoring hours with their regular employment hours.

We are looking for Kemptville Campus Students to fill Library Student Assistant Positions.

The Positions are part-time (evening, lunch & weekend shifts). Student Assistants
are asked to perform a variety of library and other tasks.

PASS (Peer Academic Support for Students)
Tutors
Tutoring services are offered to Kemptville Campus students through the library. PASS Assistants volunteer their time on a scheduled basis to provide additional help in a variety of subjects. Students are asked to volunteer 5 hours/week. Three hours are during scheduled times (evenings, weekends & over lunch hours preferred) in the library and two hours are at the tutors discretion anywhere. Tutors are asked to report their dicretionary hours in a log kept in the library.

To qualify as a PASS Assistant, you must be enroled at the Kemptville Campus during your tenure as a tutor. Interested tutors may apply for a post as a PASS Assistant with Debra Simpson in the library during the first two weeks of the Fall semester. Please bring a letter of recommendation from either a Kempville Campus Instructor or from a former college or highschool teacher. We're looking for people with strengths in math, business or science related areas. Perks include:

    • Positive opportunities for involvement in student campus life. You can make a difference in the success rates of your class mates.
    • Occasional free lunches. Debra likes to treat her Assistants very well.
    • Great job references. Debra has helped a number of her Assistants retain employment after graduation.
    • $200.00 Honorarium/semester. Tutors will be issued a check at the end on each semester upon completion of their volunteer hours.
