How to apply:
All our admissions are sent in via the OCAS system that may be found at www.ontariocolleges.ca.
The applications may be submitted to www.ontariocolleges.ca as soon as they are available on their site, generally in November. All applications must be received by www.ontariocolleges.ca on or before Feb 1, 2012 to be given equal consideration by the colleges. www.ontariocolleges.ca does process after this date but for our oversubscribed programs in the Equine streams and Power & Equipment programs it is advised to get the applications in as soon as possible.

If you have already set up an account, you may return to your application to make changes or check the status of your application. Click Apply
After logging in to the application, select the link that applies to the date you would like to start college (please note that Kemptville Campus start dates are always in September)
Please note that if you are interested in applying to the BBRM Equine Management degree program you must apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC)

Admission Requirements:
Applicants to our diploma programs should present as a minimum requirement:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum 60% average in the final year of study, excluding Workplace or Basic Courses.
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may also be considered if they will be 19 years of age at the date of enrolment and have been out of secondary school for at least one year.
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may also be considered for admission on the basis of relevant work experience, practical knowledge, special skills or abilities.
Students are encouraged to complete General, Advanced, College -C, University (U) or University / College (U/C) course types at the 11 and 12 Grade level in mathematics, biology and chemistry.
You will need to send in a transcript of your marks to OCAS along with your application. If you are still in high school your guidance department should do this for you. Otherwise you need to contact your high school to send them off.
If you do not possess a secondary school diploma you will be required to write a CAAT test which tests your knowledge in math and reading comprehension. For more information about the Admissions Test please click here.
A transcript of your marks from high school needs to be provided to complete the application process.
If you are a current Ontario High School Student, tell your high school guidance counselor that you are applying to college. Your current high school will submit your transcript to ontariocolleges.ca for you. Return to your online application and check your grades periodically to make sure they are correct.
If you are attending an Ontario Night School, summer school or taking correspondence courses, you are responsible for mailing to ontariocolleges.ca proof of registration and all subsequent interim reports and final transcripts for these courses.
If you are an Ontario High School Graduate/GED certificate holder, make arrangement to send your Ontario high school transcript or GED certificate to ontariocolleges.ca. Check the online application first to see if your high school transcript can be requested online (a fee will apply). If your school is not listed, contact the high school you last attended and request that one official transcript be mailed to ontariocolleges.ca. (Applicable transcript request fees are set by individual schools).
If you are an Ontario College/University Graduate/Student, you are responsible for requesting your Ontario college/university transcripts by returning to your online application and from the main menu, click the “My Transcript Request” button (an $8 fee may apply). Be sure to request the appropriate number of official Ontario college/university transcripts (one official transcript for each college destination). You do not need to request a transcript if you are applying to the same college you previously attended. Some colleges may also require your high school transcripts. Paper Ontario college/university transcripts are not accepted. Private Ontario postsecondary institution transcripts should be mailed to ontariocolleges.ca Please note that you will have to follow the instructions regarding the Ontario High School Graduate as well.
If you are an Out-of-Province Student (outside of Ontario-within Canada), you are responsible to request one official academic transcript (high school, college, university and/or other) and mail it to ontariocolleges.ca by your school(s).
If you are an Out-of-Country/Internationally Trained Applicant, mail all the below to ontariocolleges.ca. All official records of your high school, college and university education. Send originals or certified copies of all certificates/transcripts in the original language and the English or French translation. These documents cannot be submitted online. Proof of English proficiency if you are applying to a program taught in English. If English is not your first language, you must send the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or another internationally-recognized English language assessment test. A photocopy of your Record of Landing of other immigration document that shows proof of your residency status. Important Application Cycle Dates:
October 2011 - First date that 2012/2013 application data will be sent to colleges, earliest date that colleges may acknowledge applications.
February 1, 2012 - Earliest release of offers by the colleges to all applicants. Offers will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait-lists are established.
May, 2012 - Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission to their chosen program through www.ontariocolleges.ca. The due date to confirm offers made after May 1, 2009 will be stated in the offer letter.
June 15, 2012 - Earliest date that colleges will expect payment of tuition fees.
Accepting your Offer
To accept your offer of admission you must return your response document by the deadline indicated in your offer letter. If you applied through Ontario Colleges Application Service (www.ontariocolleges.ca), your response must be received by the deadline, typically mid May. If you do not respond by the deadline, please contact Kemptville Campus to see if space is still available for your program of choice.
You can view your offers of admission online on the ontariocolleges.ca website www.ontariocolleges.ca. You can confirm your acceptance of an offer using your online account Using your username and password, login to your online ontariocolleges.ca account.

- Click on Confirm Now.
- Sign in to your account using your username and password.
- From the Main Menu, click on Offer of Admission.
- Click on the link for the date that you want to start college.
- Select the Offer of Admission you would like to confirm and click on the Confirm button.
International Students
1. Please apply through www.ontariocolleges.ca , submit your High School Transcripts as well as any post secondary if applicable, and request an international transcript interpretation.
You will need to provide to ontariocolleges.ca:
SAT or ACT scores if American
English Proficiency - require TOEFL Testing Results with a score of 600 (paper based) or 250 (computer based) or Carleton Assessment of English Language (CAEL) with a minimum overall band score of 70 unless student is from Great Britain or the U.S.A.
2. Letter of Acceptance from Kemptville Campus - We will send to you a letter of acceptance:
must be completed by Kemptville Campus
must be the original not a photo copy
includes official letterhead, confirmation of acceptance, course of study, duration of program, latest date that you can register, full mailing address of Campus including telephone, fax , email and web site addresses.
3. Student Authorization (Student Visa)
You must apply for your STUDENT AUTHORIZATION from outside of Canada at the nearest Canadian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate unless you are from USA, St. Pierre and Miquelon or Greenland. If from these countries then you can get your student authorization at any port of entry into Canada.
What you need to show in order to get your STUDENT AUTHORIZATION:
Original Letter of Acceptance from Kemptville Campus
Proof of citizenship (valid passport)
Proof of funds for 1 year (letter from bank, a bank draft or letter from funding source showing that you can cover all expenses **)
Medical Clearance if required
Character Reference
Some countries will also need a VISITOR VISA in addition to STUDENT AUTHORIZATION. Please get a Multiple Entry Visitor Visa.
** Expenses include: tuition, food, clothing, housing, books, transportation, medical insurance, entertainment, personal or family needs and return trips home.
**Medical Insurance - Medical, dental and hospital care is expensive in Canada and foreign students are not insured by the Canadian Government. Application for University Health Plan is mandatory. For details please see the website at www.uhip.ca
4. Arrival in Canada
You must show the following to Immigration upon arriving in Canada:
Student Authorization (form IMM1208 ie Student Visa)
Valid Passport
Any letters or papers used to get Student Authorization
5. School Attendance for Dependent Children
You must apply for a STUDENT AUTHORIZATION for each child that needs to attend school.
6. Working in Canada
You may work for Kemptville Campus or the University of Guelph while attending Kemptville Campus.
If you want to work off campus you will need to apply for a Work Visa.
